Announcement of the Award for the Best Paper (Hisada Prize)

Dr. Kinichi Hisada, an honorary member of the Japanese Society of Nuclear Medicine, has annually contributed a million yen to the Society since 2009 to promote the development of the Annals of Nuclear Medicine. An award for the Best Paper was renamed the “Hisada Prize” in appreciation for his contribution. The best three papers are selected from the original articles and technical notes published in the Annals of Nuclear Medicine every year.

Up to 2011, the awardees have been restricted to the members of the Society. We are proud to announce that the membership requirement is abandoned and that the award is now open for foreign authors living overseas of Japan.

The first paper (Gold Prize) will receive a prize of 300,000 yen, the second paper (Silver Prize) one of 200,000 yen, and the third paper (Bronze Prize) one of 150,000 yen.

Qualifications:

1) The awardees must be a member of the Japanese Society of Nuclear Medicine, provided they are Japanese nationals or foreign residents of Japan.

2) A foreign winner living overseas of Japan is not necessarily a member of the Japanese Society of Nuclear Medicine.

3) The awardees must be able to attend the Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Nuclear Medicine in the reference year and have an oral presentation. In case the awardees will not be able to attend the meeting, their representatives may do it.
